Daddy, look how HIGH I am!!

I heard this phrase come out of my son's mouth Sunday night after he got out of the shower and his dad got in. I grabbed my camera because I knew it only meant one thing. Now mind you, this shelf is taller than I am. While I am not tall, he is really not tall!! He's only 3 and climbing up shelves over 6 feet high! Guess I picked the right Halloween costume, huh? What a monkey!

Saturday Happenings

Chris had to work, so Grady and I vegged out till about 11. We made pizza and then went to Kathy Wagner's for a couple pumpkins. Great ones, I might add! Then we went and joined the boys (Matt & Chris) at the river.....yes, I got to finally drive the Teryx for more than a couple minutes. Here is what I find my hubby doing.....

I'm guessing that one's a keeper!

Tonight is THE Night

I am sooooooooo excited!! Grey's Anatomy is FINALLY back with a fresh new season.

Hopefully, halfway through the season there will be no money hungry people who don't want to do their jobs interfering with my one night to control the television!!

With all that being said, I have to give a shout out to my girl Brittany.....hope Maurices lets you off work long enough to catch up on all the action!! If not, you know I have DVR.....

They Sure Do Age Well!!

Who didn't have one of theses?? I still have mine, Mom doesn't throw anything out!! Garth and Libby Gayle. Oh, how many times they have been dragged around is beyond me. Grady has Libby Gayle here and before Tristan was born we practiced being nice to babies with her. Wait a minute.....I googled Cabbage Patch Kids and I'll be damned if I didn't find Libby Gayle's twin... she's the mostly bald one on the left.

I guess you can buy these special anniversary edition ones (they are supposed to be made from the same mold my generations dolls were from) online at www.cabbagepatchkids.com . I wonder if they all still have geeky names or if they are 'with it' names now. I don't have a girl so I guess I will never know!!

The Next Watermelon Seed Spitting Contestant

Friday night we had a family/friend/neighbor fish fry. Well, in my case, chicken fry. I hate fish, never have liked it. That is beside the point.
My child loves watermelon. Again, I do not. Apparently he loves spitting too. He was literally digging his fingers inside the watermelon just to get the seeds out and spit them out in the garage floor. I wish I could have gotten an action shot of it, too funny. Then, bless his little heart, he got a napkin and picked up every one of those seeds he had been spitting. I love him!!
Now why can't he pick up his room that well?

Check out these hotties!!

Kara, Angie and I all got these HOT new purses, diaper bag in Angie's case, at the Fall Festival.

Aren't they cute! I just love a new purse - when you can't find any clothes to fit you - buy a new bag it will make you feel a ton better about yourself.
Thanks, Sarah!

Alright....now I'm pissed!!

Okay, I'm not holding back much in this post besides the offenders name...and if she reads it, I'm sure she will know who I am talking about.

You mess with my momma, you better expect to mess with me!!

****Just as a sidenote, my mother has had 2 back surgeries in the past 2 years and is on the verge of another one due to ruptured discs/bulging discs. Therefore, she is on medication to deal with the pain from her back. Only prescribed medication, mind you.****

Someone, again who shall remain nameless unless she decides to come forth and admit she is retarded and hurful among other things, decided to take a stab at the fact that my mother takes said medication.

This person said that my mother was not fit to watch their child because, wait for it.......she is a pill popper. Who the hell does she think she is calling my mother, a person that she once swore that she loved too, a untrue, unfounded name like that?? Last I knew, name calling was for third graders and childish people that couldn't think of anything better to do when they felt the need to gossip about others.

My take on all this is that if your life is so horrid that you have to take stabs at other people to be happy, then you really should leave well enough alone and go hide under a rock or something so that the rest of us Earth dwellers don't have to mess with the waste of space that is you.

'Nuff said, don't you think?

Shameless Publicity Stunt

Not really, just cute and it happens to be advertising my dad's business.

Papa needed Chris to weld on something on the semi and the boys felt necessary to climb aboard and play sidekick.

Maybe someday boys you can drive that big truck and be just like Papa!!

A Few Birthday Weekend Pics

Everyone and their dog, I think, has been to Holiday World. So, I won't bore you with those pictures. We stayed in the Santa's Lodge close to the park and had a great time there and at the Mini Golf place next door. My computer is really slow at loading the pics if I have just saved them from my digital camera, I might post more after I get them printed. If anyone knows if I am doing something wrong that it is taking so long....let me know!!

Grady giving Santa the rundown of the already lengthy Christmas list.

Sorry, little man, I cut your cute little smile off!!

Grady's first putt putt experience. He lasted about 1/2 a hole before wandering off and hitting the ball in around where ever he felt it needed hit to.

Happy Birthday.....Yeah, Right

Well....today I am another year older. Hip Hip Hooray....at least I'm not sick or dying or something. It has just been an all around crappy day so far. Weather, mood, child, meal...you name it, it has been crappy today.

We went to Holiday World this weekend and left on Friday. More to come on that as I get my pictures uploaded. Saturday was great. We had a really good time in the park and not one thing really went wrong.

Today, another story. The weather turned to crap as the hurricane aftermath moved towards our neck of the woods. I apparently got out of bed on the wrong side because I have been in a crappy mood. Maybe that is what happened to Grady because he went into total meltdown mode. And then, everything I eat just tastes terrible.... and I like to eat, so that really makes a big girl mad!!

So, Happy Birthday to me....maybe I will wait and celebrate with Chris on Tuesday, his day will probably go just swell!

Four Eyes

Grady found my glasses on the bathroom counter the other day and decided he needed to wear them. Poor child's eyes are probably ruined now. I hope for his sake (and my checkbook's) that he gets his eyes from his dad.

Best Buds

Grady and his best buddy, Dawson.
These two have been attached at the hip for quite some time. So are their dads.
They were born 7 weeks apart and we have had them together as much as possible ever since then.
These smiles were just a front......there are little stinkers behind those grins!!

I haven't posted a lot of pictures recently, so I thought I would throw out some random ones I have printed (just learned how to print) from my phone.

Helping cut up the cabbage for sauerkraut.

Grady on our trip to the pool in Olney.

Eating up all the cherry tomatoes in the garden.

Riding his new big boy bike at Sam Parr.

In the shower. So that's where all Daddy's soap goes.

Picking out a gun at Gander Mountain - Pink??

Potato he found in the garden. He said it looked like a rubber duck.

In his Halloween costume for this year - I got it at a garage sale for $5!!
