Great Job, Boys!

Congrats to the Eagles on their win in their season opener!!

I want to give a shout to my nephew, Mitch Stanciu, for some awesome tackles last night!!
You Rock!!

Good luck next week guys!!

I'm Being Invaded!!

My son has a new favorite....can you guess??

Dinosaurs.

Is this a phase for boys? I have no idea what is so fascinating about these big goofy looking things. He went through a phase of being convinced there was a dragon in his closet and was scared shitless. Now he loves dinosaurs. What gives?

Kind Words Please

Please keep my friend, Kara, and her family in your thoughts and prayers. She lost her mom, Barb Rubsam, to cancer on Saturday after a very short battle.

Thanks!

Tag - I'm It!

So I have been tagged, not once, but twice. Tagged to tell the whole blogosphere some random things about myself. Hard to do if you ask me..... You can't ever think of anything to say about yourself when you are asked, but when no one asks, you could talk for hours.

The rules are:

1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules to your blog.
3. Write 6 random things about myself.
4. Tag 6 people at the end of your post and link to them.
5. Let each person you have tagged know by leaving a comment on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know when your entry is posted.

I was tagged by Nancy @ Happy Endings and Jessica @ Love Dream Hope Pray. You can find links to their blogs on my sidebar. So, like I said, I was tagged twice, so I feel it is appropriate to not follow the rules and reveal 12 random things about myself. Here goes:

1. I would drink Dr. Pepper and Mt. Dew mixed together every time I needed a drink.

2. I could spend every penny I had on things for Grady and not feel bad about leaving everyone else out.

3. I have dimples on my shoulders. So does my Dad.

4. Chris and I were born 2 days apart (September 14 & 16, 1979), in the same hospital, by the same doctor. His Dad worked with my grandma forever and we never knew each other until I started working at IGA with him in 1996.

5. We were married on Tax Day (April 15) in 2000.

6. I used to sell Pampered Chef.

7. I donated over 11 inches of hair to locks of love the first time I cut all of my long hair off. Oddly enough, one of my taggers, Jessica, cut it.

8. One of my feet is bigger than the other. I have even tried to buy 2 different sizes of shoes, but they wouldn't let me. I acted like I didn't know that there were 2 different sizes in the box. Oops!

9. I thought I used to look like my Dad before I lost some weight, but now I look A LOT like my Mom.

10. I miss driving a truck.

11. I love, love, love Trace Adkins...... that deep voice is soooooo sexy. Not to mention, that man has moves!

12. I have a thing about buying books. I buy them. They sit on a shelf. I read them after they are like 3 years old. Then I sell them for a fraction of what I paid originally at a garage sale. How sad.

So, as for tagging some other people.....I don't know..... I don't think I will follow the rules here either. So I am only tagging one person. The lucky person is....Kelli @ Snips, Snails & Puppy Dog Tails.

Hope you enjoyed learning some random Aubrey facts!!

Slavery again...

I hate to dust. Grady loves to dust.

Solution to my hatred?

Let Grady dust.

Will the Drama Ever End?

Most of my readers probably don't know, but my brother is, and has been since March, going through a divorce. He has a little boy, whom he sees very little.

Just venting - heck she may read this, I don't give two hoots.....she knows how I feel, so I will leave those to your imagination.
Anyone gone through a divorce? When the heck does the crap ever end?? Will he ever be done with this?? How about me and my parents, as family members dealing with it? When do we get a freaking break??

Gotcha!

Quite the ensemble, don't you think?? My bra, a diaper he found in his old dresser, and new mud boots from his closet. Only one piece of that is his....he does NOT wear diapers. And, as far as I know, I am the only one in this household who wears a bra. Don't know what was going through that little man's head that day, but it made for a good blackmail type photo for his teenage years.

I guess...

Grady helped me, and by helped I mean he helped by eating so many, pick cherry tomatoes one day this week.
He is so observant. He said, "Momma, don't these matoes have butt cracks?"

Yeah, Grady, I guess they do!

Surprise!!!

Papa called on Saturday and said that he and Granny had something for Grady and wanted to bring it over. I didn't know what the heck they had....I hate surprises!

A New Big Boy Bike!! No more tricycles here. He loved it so much that he wouldn't quit riding it. We had to bring it inside and keep it at the foot of his bed. He woke up Sunday morning and was already riding it around the kitchen. I had to scrub off black marks from the floor and refridgerator door, but oh, well....

We even took it to Sam Parr for some blacktop roads to ride on. Great spot if you live in the country with little "hard roads" or nothing but gravel. Needless to say, he wore himself out.

What a big surprise for Grady Sawyer!!

Thank you so much Granny and Papa, he loves it!! Now Mommy and Daddy have to come up with something different for his next birthday.

Busy, Busy, Busy

This last week has been crazy!! I think we have had something going on or something to do most every evening, whether it be for the "livestock" or the garden or the family.

Yes, Grady (along with the rest of us), has green beans coming out of his ears. I am ready to pull the plants up by the roots and be done with them. Thanks to Kelli for taking some of them off of my hands. Much appreciated!!

I think I am listing everything that I have canned/frozen this week...

  • green beans
  • sauerkraut (for Chris not me.....BARF!!)
  • green bell peppers
  • salsa
  • spicy mustard
  • hot pepper relish
  • along with keeping a ton of cherry tomatoes around to make fresh salsa

I'm tired......is it winter yet?

Found!!!

FYI for those of you who give a crap......

I finally found my copy of my Grandma Ferguson's picture that I had lost, no misplaced...

Introducing.....

Well, the much anticipated pictures of the "Perfect Couple" and their "perfect twins" are on the cover of People magazine. I'm just not so sure about these two. Yeah, they donate money all the time. Yeah, they adopted kids from poverty stricken countries. Yeah, they are famous. With all that said, they really don't "parent" these kids alone. They have nannies, they probably don't do dishes at night, or clean house along with the duties of having 6 kids, do they? Fakers, that what I think. They're fakers. Real parents - Jon & Kate or Jim Bob & Michelle!! Why aren't they on the cover of People??

Not So Much

Chris says that there is not enough stuff about him on my blog.

I'm workin' on it....Stay Tuned!!

I Need To Get the Soap

I know I am a potty mouth....I work with my dad and brother, who are also potty mouths. Apparently my son is a potty mouth too. Although, my Grandpa Ferguson told me if it was in the Bible, it was okay.....

While Grady's friend Dawson was here today, they were playing with his GeoTrax train set. Out of the blue, Grady says, "What the hell is that train doing?" Dawson got a big grin on his face and said, "What did you say, Grady?" He said it again..... like I said, he is a potty mouth!!

Happy Anniversary!

Congrats on 23 Years to "Aunt" Annette & Uncle Gary!!
Sorry I didn't get a picture of you two on your own Harley-This was as close as I could get!!

Ha! Ha!
