Deals, Deals, Deals!!!

First off, thanks to Kara and Angie (and Lexie) for letting me go along on the shopping excursion!! I had a good time, minus that milkshake mishap!!

Now, to the good stuff!! If you are going north anytime soon.....you must stop at the Factory Outlet stores in Tuscola. Especially The Children's Place. I purchased Grady 13 articles of clothing there for $40!! Nothing was priced over $2.99!! Osh Kosh had some pretty good deals on jeans too, $10 a pair. Lord knows he has been wearing holes in the jeans he's wearing now.

I'm pretty sure we were all in agreement that when the new fall stuff comes out in September we are going back to get the summer deals....I think a day out with the girls was definitely worth it!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANNY!

Today is my mom's, aka Granny's, birthday. I figured she would rather I post a picture of her and Grady than a photo of her doing something crazy!! And yes, Granny, I do have some of those!!

It's a little crooked, but remember this?? The first time you got to hold your first grandbaby. How Precious!!

Getting Mii Motivated

I couldn't pass up actually seeing a Wii Fit in Wal-Mart yesterday.

Now I am totally addicted. Hula Hooping kicks my butt!!

But it has paid off....well, I don't really know if Wii Fit was the reason.... I lost another 1.2 pounds this week. I did set a goal of losing 20 pounds by the end of this weight loss competition. That would be 1 month from now. I need to lose 9.8 more to get there. Fat chance. Oh, well.

I guess we're farmers now

Grady told me this week..."I guess we're farmers now." I said..."OK.....Why do you think that?"
He said, "Well, (If you know Grady, you can just hear how he said wellllllll) We have chickens and bunnies and horses. Oh, and I can't forget Gus. That makes us farmer's doesn't it Momma?"

Sure, I guess we're farmer's now. Yee-Haw.

Still Losing

Just not as much. I'm a little disappointed in myself. I started out so good and was down 8.8 pounds as of last week. I only lost one pound this week, so I'm almost down 10 pounds now in a month.

I really don't have a goal in mind, so maybe that's my problem. I don't know how much I want to lose and figure I shouldn't do it all at once. Who knows. I've always had a problem keeping weight off after I lose it. Just call me Yo-Yo.

A Little Confused Here

I rarely watch the news anymore. Most of it either sickens me or pisses me off. Well, last night was no exception. I heard Katie Couric say something and had to rewind to make sure I heard it right and then had to check online to really make sure that I was hearing correctly. She said, in a nutshell:

(CBS/AP) Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Tuesday the U.S. will continue to work closely with Israel's new government, but will also "vigorously" pursue the creation of a Palestinian state. ....................Clinton arrived in Jerusalem Monday evening from the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheik, where she pledged $900 million in U.S. aid at an international donors conference for rebuilding the Gaza Strip after Israel's recent offensive against its Hamas rulers.

First of all....Disclaimer: I do not follow politics or very much have an opinion on how things go politically for that reason. BUT..... I have a really big bone to pick with Mrs. Clinton. The US economy is in the crapper. Our "stimulus" was money added on to working people's taxes that are taken out of their paychecks, not in the form of an actual dollar figure to stimulate the economy. Why on Earth should US dollars be spent, not just US dollars, US millions of dollars be spent to rebuild in Israel? US people need US dollars to rebuild US jobs and economy, right?

Someone please let me know why I shouldn't be so upset with this!
